Lauren's love for performing began at three years old when she attended her first dance class at the Elisabeth School of Dance in Hayes, Middlesex. She was taught by Lisa Shattock who gave her lessons in every single style of dance and a fantastic starting guide to the dance world. Lauren stayed training with Lisa until the age of 16 when she then went on to train professionally at Laine Theatre Arts, graduating with her National Diploma in Musical Theatre (TRINITY, London).
During her time at Laine's she taught at their annual summer school helping in the musical theatre department which gave her a great insight into different teaching techniques and ideas she could carry into her own teaching.
In the 3 years she was training she also set up weekly musical theatre workshops at Suzanne's School of Dance in Ickenham where she met some amazingly talented students who have now gone on to train professionally at various prestigious colleges including Italia Conti, Tring and Urdang.
Once leaving college she went on to play Sharpette/Cover playing Sharpay Evans in Disney's High School Musical (UK Tour); Ensemble/cover playing Penny Pingleton in Hairspray (UK Tour); The role of Frenchy/cover Sandy in Greece (UK Tour); Ensemble/Cover playing Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5 (UK Tour); Swing/Cover Glinda in Wicked (West End); and most recently Ensemble in Dance Til Dawn (UK Tour).
Whilst busy with her performing career Lauren has never stopped teaching, doing numerous workshops of the shows she has been in, freelance choreography for festivals and shows in the area and private one to one lessons for young performers who are looking to audition for full time college.
